Why We Love Wanna be a Net Zero Hero?

  • It helps young people feel healthier and happier – Spending time outdoors, being active, and reducing screen time can improve both mental and physical wellbeing.
  • It teaches practical ways to help the environment – Young people will learn simple actions like saving energy, growing food, and recycling that they can use at home.
  • It brings young people and the community together – They will meet local environmental experts and organisations, giving them support, new skills, and positive role models.
  • It gives young people a chance to inspire others – By creating podcasts and sharing what they have learned, they can raise awareness and encourage their community to care for the environment.

What The Community Says

"We met Synergy in 2020 during COVID lockdowns and they helped us to secure some grant funding for our Woodland Retreat project in Binbrook. As a result of this they have been bringing young people to the woods to experience bushcraft skills, off grid living, archery, navigation skills every Saturday! They have created a really wonderful camp for young people here and are a huge part of the community. It's great to see so many young people from deprived areas accessing and enjoying natural woodlands and the Lincolnshire Wolds, something they would not have done without the support of Synergy."
