We Plant Roots for Growth
We give every member the Roots they need to grow-building confidence, strength, and stability from the ground up.
Roots™ is Synergy (Grimsby) CIC’s flagship initiative, delivering structured, supportive experiences that help young people build resilience, independence and a stronger sense of identity within their community.
It offers exciting outdoor and community-based activities designed to reduce screen time, build confidence, and reconnect young people with the natural world.
Through hands-on participation, they develop trust, teamwork and responsibility while gaining practical skills that support personal growth.
With the support of the Clothworkers’ Foundation, Sport England, The National Lottery Community Fund, and Postcode Places Trust, Roots has grown into a community hub supporting underprivileged young people through projects including Binbrook Woods, Lanzalotty, Project Room, Rooted in Nature and Routes.
Together, these initiatives create regular opportunities for achievement and positive engagement, helping young people build confidence, self-esteem and a sense of belonging through real-world responsibility and experience.
We give every member the Roots they need to grow-building confidence, strength, and stability from the ground up.
We create an environment where everyone is Routing for one another – backing each other, growing together, and staying Rooted as a community.
We create hands-on experiences – planting Roots at our allotment and walking Routes designed to challenge, build confidence, and create real growth.
We guide each member on their Route to success – building confidence, skills, responsibility, and becoming their best self beyond Roots.
